In coordination with the Colorado Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), NEIF offers Colorado-based companies implementing LED lighting projects affordable rates from CCEF using state-sponsored funds. These terms are available immediately, but for a limited time only.
Commercial Energy Efficiency Financing Options
Eligible customers include the following building owners:
- Commercial
- Industrial
- Agricultural
- Multi-family
- Community, including those owned by tax-exempt organizations

Three Simple Steps For Customers
1. Get a Proposal
Tell your NEIF-Approved Contractor that you’d like to review a monthly payment proposal; or, contact NEIF directly. If you don’t have a contractor selected, click here!
2. Simple Application
Apply online and receive notification of approval typically within two weeks.
3. Installation
Sign closing documents and work with your contractor to schedule the installation.
Who Is Eligible?
- Building owners based in Colorado
- Must be in Good Standing with Secretary of the State
- Must have at least one employee, not more than 99
employees - Demonstrate 1 year positive cash flow in the last 5 years
- Demonstrate Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) of 1:1 since February 29, 2020
- Applicant must have been in business for at least one year and provide one year of tax returns for any single year from 2019-2022.
What Improvements Qualify?
- LED Lighting Retrofits
- Installation of Lighting Controls
- Work must be performed by an NEIF-Approved Contractor and qualify for an LED Lighting Loan.
- Rate: 3.45%
- Minimum loan: $10,000. Maximum loan: $500,000.
- Available terms: 12, 24, and 36 months.
- Loan must be initiated by December 31, 2023.

Use the NEIF Commerical Finance Portal to propose and close more projects and bigger projects with simple monthly payment solutions.
3. Get Paid!
Funding available within 2 weeks of complete loan application package submittal and approval.
