Matthew Brown Attends National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) Annual Energy Outlook Meeting 2024

Last week, Matthew Brown, Co-Chair and Founder of the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF) attended the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) conference held annually to discuss all things energy and policy, as well as the latest developments from United States Congress and Administration.

Held in Washington D.C., this year’s Energy Policy Outlook Conference convened some of the nation’s leading state and federal policymakers, private sector leaders, and other experts in the industry on the topic of: Energizing America’s Economy.

Representing NEIF, Mathew Brown was given the opportunity to connect with state officials, providing information on how NEIF can support various states as they begin to roll out energy loan programs and energy rebate programs in response to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

“There’s a ton on the horizon as states are preparing to receive and then distribute close to $10 billion in energy rebates, and hundreds of millions in federal revolving loan funds,” says Brown.

Also on the horizon for states — serving as an upcoming area of focus for NEIF, additionally — is over $20 billion coming to state green banks, or entities that leverage capital to pursue clean energy projects, from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.

With much to anticipate in the coming months, feel free to reach out to NEIF to learn more about what is at stake.
