Supporting Families & Strengthening Communities: Inside the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF)’s 2025 Holiday Drives
Each year as the holidays approach, the team at the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF) rallies together and demonstrates their commitment to helping local communities and families. This season was no exception!
During the months of November and December, employees in NEIF’s Allentown, PA and Denver, CO offices joined forces with remote team members to participate in two charitable giving initiatives.
Through coordinated efforts with both Toys for Tots and the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank, the NEIF team was able to provide meaningful support for families and organizations in need— spreading a little holiday cheer along the way!
Strengthening Local Food Security with the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank
In early November, NEIF kicked off its food drive benefitting families in the surrounding Lehigh Valley, PA through the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank. Donations were collected in NEIF’s Allentown headquarters and included non-perishable foods and canned goods, plus other essential hygiene items.
NEIF’s team members in Denver, CO, and residing in other remote areas were also encouraged to participate, making monetary donations to the food bank.
NEIF wrapped up the drive in the second week of December, having collected 224 total pounds of food and nearly $200 in direct donations!
Spreading Joy Through Toys for Tots
Early November at NEIF also brought the introduction of its Toys for Tots drive— allowing in-person employees to drop new, unopened toys in a collection box, and remote team members to make virtual donations.
In addition, participating staff were encouraged to share the reasons behind their donations and reflect on their favorite holiday traditions to make the giving process personal and meaningful!
At the conclusion of the drive, employees had donated 46 toys. With NEIF’s additional contribution of 10, the grand total reached 56!
NEIF’s efforts to give back represent more than just holiday spirit— they put our values as a Certified B Corporation™ into action. By supporting Toys for Tots and Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank, along with other local charitable organizations such as local blood banks and children’s hospitals, the NEIF team is able to expand its impact, help more families, and show that businesses can create real, positive change.
