PRESS RELEASE: National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF) Launches New Rebate Advance Funding Program With State of New Mexico

ALLENTOWN, PA and DENVER, CO, March 23, 2026 — The National Energy Improvement Fund, LLC (NEIF), a Certified B Corp™ energy efficiency lender and program administrator, is now providing advanced funding to New Mexico contractors through its RebateBridge™ program. NEIF’s RebateBridge™ is now active in the New Mexico HEAR Single Family rebate program, which helps income-eligible New Mexico residents pay for energy-saving home improvement projects. NEIF’s participation is designed to ensure contractors have quick access to rebate funds and, in turn, support uninterrupted program participation and increased access for small-to-medium sized contractors.

Funding for the New Mexico home energy rebate program has been allocated to New Mexico’s Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD). The single-family HEAR rebates are already available; and, later this year, New Mexico will launch the multifamily HEAR rebate program and single family residential and multifamily HER rebate programs.

NEIF was selected via a competitive state procurement process to help advance rebate funds through its RebateBridge program across all HER and HEAR rebate programs. NEIF will advance 100% of rebate funds processed in the HEAR rebate program, administered by Franklin Energy, to help bridge the gap between project completion and EMNRD’s actual payment date.

“Every New Mexican deserves affordable energy and a comfortable home,” said Rebecca “Puck” Stair, EMNRD Director. “EMNRD’S [Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department’s] partnership with NEIF has allowed us to greatly speed and increase the number of home rebates we can make available to homeowners and renters— while also supporting local New Mexican contractors and small businesses.”

“NEIF is proud to support the deployment of HEAR rebates in New Mexico through our RebateBridge™ platform,” added Matthew Brown, NEIF Co-Chair and Managing Member. “We know that contractor participation is essential to the success of any clean energy program, and RebateBridge™ ensures contractors can get paid quickly and reliably following job completion and rebate approval.”
