PRESS RELEASE: Effective July 1 - Reduced Rates from 4.99% APR for Pennsylvania's KEEP Home Energy Loan for HVAC and Other Upgrades

In coordination with the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority (PEDA), the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF) will offer reduced interest rates to Pennsylvania homeowners financing home energy upgrades through the Keystone Energy Efficiency Program (KEEP) Home Energy Loan for applications received through September 30, 2025.

Allentown, PA June 30, 2025  — For a limited time only, Pennsylvania homeowners can finance home energy upgrades for as low as 4.99% through the state-supported Keystone Energy Efficiency Program (KEEP) Home Energy Loan, keepenergyloan.org.

Supported by the Pennsylvania Development Authority (PEDA)’s Energy Accelerator Program, the KEEP Home Energy Loan allows Pennsylvanians to reduce energy costs through improvements to their home’s heating and cooling systems, windows, doors, insulation, and other upgrades. The program is administered by the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF), www.neifund.org, an Allentown-based Certified B Corporation™ lender and national expert in energy efficiency financing.

Going into effect July 1, 2025, the KEEP Home Energy Loan’s new, reduced interest rates will make it increasingly affordable for Pennsylvania homeowners to make efficiency upgrades that qualify for financing.

For applications received through September 30, 2025, or until allocated program funds are exhausted, available interest rates and terms will be 4.99% APR for 36 months; 6.99% for 60 months; and 7.99% for 120 months, all with no additional fees to the borrower or the contractor.  The rate and payment are fixed for the term of the loan.

The KEEP Home Energy Loan is a simple-interest, fixed-rate installment program that provides financing for projects from  $2,500 to $25,000. There is no lien on the borrower’s home and no penalty for pre-payment.

Financing through NEIF is trusted and transparent, with instant credit decisions, an easy, paperless process, and responsive communication with homeowners and contractors. In order to qualify for financing, all work must be performed by a NEIF-Approved Contractor.  Contractors not currently approved may apply to join the Approved Contractor network at neifund.org/become-approved-contractor.  In addition to the KEEP Home Energy Loan in Pennsylvania NEIF-Approved Contractors are also eligible to offer NEIF’s national EnergyPlus programs for most types of residential and commercial energy improvements  as well as selected utility-supported programs in other states.
